Forever True.

Some say that love is a place.

Others say, a person.

Few say, a thing.

Although I believe that love can take on many different forms in this life, one thing I know to be so true that it is simply undeniable:

Love is kissing your lover’s goosebumped skin on a winter morning, and being warmed from the inside out.

This will be true even if the whole world falls apart.

Lost & Found.

The road saved me, simple as that.

On many different days, driving many different ways.

I always thought I was driving to intentionally get lost,

away from my norm and into the unfamiliar,

but I was found.

I found myself on the road, somewhere between a ghost town and a sunset.

OTW.

By my side, down to ride,

holding, never folding,

always consoling.

Forever, I’m hoping,

secrets, but you know them.

Glowing,

consistency, always showing,

giving, never owing.

Loving,

If I go, are you going?

Flowing, never controlling.

I begged the Universe for you,

but she said myself I am still outgrowing.

I prayed, I prayed, I prayed.

She said he is on the way, on the way, on the way.

I trust in your timing, okay.
She said he will come, and he will stay.

But still I pray, every day.

You Call Anyway.

You sigh, and I am the reason.

How did our love not last more than a season?

I want to cry, but the dam of my pride holds my tears at bay.

You lie, and you are the reason.

But you say you want to stay.

‘We die,’ and part ways. But you call anyway.

–S.

Yellow.

You are the taste of the color yellow.

I know that doesn’t make much sense, but I dance when I think of you.

You’re the last slice of cake,

the sweetest strawberry,

the house around the bend,

the song playing when they announce last call,

the song the breeze from the ocean sings,

the reason I believe in magic,

the feeling I get right before the main characters in a romantic comedy finally get it together and are about to kiss,

and the sweet dreamlike fog between awake and asleep.
